Intel Corporation (INTC) announced on Thursday that it has no intention of divesting its majority stake in Mobileye.
"As the principal shareholder in Mobileye (MBLY), Intel is steadfast in its commitment to value creation and is enthusiastic about the company's future. Currently, we have no plans to sell a majority interest in the enterprise," stated the company in an official release.
Intel highlighted that providing Mobileye with operational independence has enhanced its ability to seize new growth opportunities and expedite its progression towards creating even greater shareholder value.
Furthermore, Intel expressed its confidence in the promising future of autonomous driving technology and Mobileye's unique position as a leader in the development and deployment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
