PUMA Appoints Markus Neubrand To Succeed Hubert Hinterseher As CFO; Stock Up

PUMA SE, the renowned German sportswear manufacturer, announced on Thursday that Markus Neubrand, 48, has been appointed as its Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board, effective October 1.

On the XETRA stock exchange in Germany, PUMA shares rose approximately 4 percent, trading at 38.35 euros.

Neubrand will replace Hubert Hinterseher, the current CFO, who has mutually agreed with the company to step down from his role on September 30 and will depart the firm by December 31.

In his new role at PUMA, Neubrand will be responsible for overseeing Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, IT, and Business Solutions.

From October 1, PUMA's Management Board will comprise CEO Arne Freundt, CFO Markus Neubrand, CPO Maria Valdes, and CSO Anne-Laure Descours.

Neubrand's most recent role was as CFO at GUESS? Inc. Before that, he served as Group CFO for the luxury fashion brand MCM Worldwide and held the positions of Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer at HUGO BOSS for its key region Americas.
