On Friday, Sandvik AB (publ) (SDVKF.PK) announced the sale of its engineer-to-order business, DWFritz Automation, to the private equity firm Balmoral Funds. Additionally, Sandvik plans to divest its minority stake in BEAMIT to better align with its core operations.
This strategic shift is projected to incur a cost of approximately SEK 390 million in the third quarter. Specifically, around SEK 250 million will be associated with the divestment of DWFritz, while approximately SEK 140 million will pertain to the write-down of its stake in BEAMIT.
