Japan's unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted for August, was reported at 2.5 percent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on Tuesday.
This figure is lower than the anticipated 2.6 percent and a decrease from July's 2.7 percent.
The jobs-to-applicant ratio stood at 1.23, falling short of the expected 1.24, which would have matched the previous month's ratio.
Furthermore, the participation rate slightly increased to 63.6 percent, up from 63.5 percent in the previous month.
