Ireland's unemployment rate decreased in September to its lowest level in six months, according to preliminary data released by the Central Statistics Office on Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 4.3 percent in September, a slight decline from 4.4 percent in August. This compares to a rate of 4.5 percent in the same month last year.
This marks the lowest unemployment rate since March, when it stood at 4.2 percent.
The seasonally adjusted number of unemployed individuals dropped to 124,300 in September from 125,300 in August. A year ago, this figure was 127,400.
However, Ireland's youth unemployment rate, affecting the 15-24 age group, inched up to 10.8 percent from 10.7 percent.
