FCA US LLC reported total sales of 305,294 vehicles for the third quarter of 2024, marking a 20% decline year-over-year. Sales for the Jeep brand reached 144,963 vehicles, a 6% decrease from the previous year, while the Ram brand saw sales of 108,925 vehicles, a drop of 19%. The Fiat brand, however, experienced a notable increase of 118% in U.S. sales year-over-year, driven by the introduction of the all-new, all-electric 2024 Fiat 500e.
"At the beginning of the third quarter, we launched an aggressive incentive program across our U.S. brand portfolio. Significant competitive updates in August and September led to a reduction in dealer inventory by over 50,000 units by the end of the quarter, representing a decrease of 11.6%," said Matt Thompson, head of U.S. retail sales.
Additionally, the company highlighted that the Alfa Romeo Tonale, the brand's first electrified offering introduced in the second half of 2023, sold 1,122 units.
