Ford Motor Company (F) announced a 4% increase in U.S. retail sales for the third quarter, with total sales rising by 0.7%. The company sold 504,039 vehicles this quarter, compared to 500,504 vehicles in the same period last year.
Hybrid vehicle sales surged by 38%, reaching 48,101 units, while electric vehicle sales saw a 12% growth. Lincoln sales also experienced a significant rise of 26% for the quarter.
The company highlighted that they sold 67,689 electric vehicles through September, marking a record sales performance. Ford brand electric vehicle sales increased by 45% this year.
