Murphy Oil Corporation has announced the appointment of Eric Hambly, currently serving as President and Chief Operating Officer, to succeed Roger Jenkins as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Concurrently, Hambly will join the company's Board of Directors. Jenkins will step down from the Board on December 31, 2024, but will continue to contribute to Murphy in a non-executive advisory capacity until he retires on December 31, 2025.
Hambly, who joined Murphy in 2006, has made significant contributions to the company's global exploration and production endeavors, holding key roles in Malaysia, Singapore, onshore U.S., and offshore U.S. Gulf of Mexico. He advanced to Executive Vice President of Operations in 2020 and took on his current responsibilities as President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2024.
