Blue Owl Capital (OWL) has finalized an agreement to acquire the digital infrastructure fund management business of IPI Partners, LLC, currently owned by affiliates of ICONIQ Capital and Iron Point Partners. The transaction is valued at approximately $1 billion, with the payment structure consisting of roughly 80% in Blue Owl equity and 20% in cash. It is anticipated that this acquisition will have a neutral impact on Blue Owl's earnings in 2025, with a slight increase expected in 2026.
IPI Partners manages approximately $10.5 billion in assets as of June 30, 2024. Established in 2016, IPI emerged as a joint venture between ICONIQ and Iron Point, catering to the demands of hyperscale and enterprise data center clients.
