Employers Holdings Inc. (EIG), a specialist in workers' compensation insurance, has announced the appointment of Michael Pedraja as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (Designate), starting February 3, 2025. Pedraja will officially assume the roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on or around March 31, 2025.
He takes over from Michael Paquette, the current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who is set to retire in March 2025.
Pedraja brings over 30 years of experience in corporate financial services within the insurance sector. Most recently, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer at Ariel Re Services, a prominent reinsurance underwriter. His distinguished career also includes positions such as Senior Vice President and Treasurer at The Allstate Corporation and roles as an insurance-focused investment banker at Aon Securities, Barclays, and Credit Suisse.
