Exports in the Netherlands experienced a downturn in August following a brief uptick the previous month, as reported by the statistics bureau CBS on Friday. Year-over-year, exports declined by 2.1 percent in August, offsetting the 2.0 percent growth observed in July, which had marked the first positive shift in fourteen months. The agency highlighted a significant decrease in the exports of machinery, petroleum products, and transport equipment. Additionally, the import volume in August showed a slight decrease of 0.2 percent compared to the same period last year. The October CBS Export Radar indicated that the export climate was less favorable than it had been in August.
