Ireland Residential Property Price Inflation Surges To 10.1%

Ireland's residential property prices saw a significant rise in August, marking the sharpest increase in nearly two years, as reported by the Central Statistics Office on Wednesday. Year-over-year, residential property prices jumped by 10.1% in August, an acceleration from the 9.6% increase observed in July. This upward trend in property prices has been ongoing since February 2020.

Notably, the current growth rate is the highest since September 2022 when prices had escalated by 10.7%. In Dublin, the capital region, residential property prices rose by 10.8% annually in August. Within this, house prices surged by 11.6%, while apartment prices increased by 7.9%.

Outside of Dublin, the year-on-year rise in residential property prices across Ireland reached 9.6% in August.
