South32 Ltd., an Australian mining and metals enterprise, reported a decrease in Alumina production for the first quarter, registering at 1.184 million tonnes, down from 1.290 million tonnes recorded in the previous period. In contrast, the company's Aluminium production saw an uptick, reaching 298 thousand tonnes compared to last year's 288 thousand tonnes. Meanwhile, Manganese ore production experienced a significant drop, falling to 597 thousand wet metric tonnes from 1.52 million metric tonnes in the preceding year. Despite these fluctuations, South32 has reaffirmed its production guidance for the fiscal year 2025 across all operations. Subsequent to the conclusion of the September 2024 quarter, the company distributed a fully-franked ordinary dividend amounting to US$140 million, pertaining to the first half of the 2024 financial year.
