Leidos Holdings, Inc. (LDOS), a prominent defense engineering company, announced on Monday that it has secured a $331 million contract to advance the U.S. Army's network as part of the Army's Network Modernization Strategy and Unified Network Plan.
The contract encompasses an initial one-year term with the possibility of four additional one-year extensions.
As per the agreement, Leidos will implement the Army's global unified network at individual Army sites. This initiative is intended to provide a standardized and coordinated modern network architecture, ensuring that applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, secure, and interoperable worldwide.
The contract was granted by the Army Program Executive Office for Command, Control, and Communications-Tactical Global Enterprise Network Modernization-OCONUS.
