Consumer confidence in Turkey saw an improvement in October, according to the latest survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute, published on Wednesday.
The consumer confidence index experienced an increase, reaching 80.6 in October, up from 78.2 in September. Despite this rise, a score below 100 still signifies a pessimistic outlook.
The index measuring the current financial situation of households showed a slight decline, falling to 64.7 from 64.8 the previous month. On the other hand, expectations for the financial situation of households progressed to 82.1, compared to 77.4 in September.
Expectations concerning the general economic situation among consumers improved slightly, with the index rising to 75.3 from 74.5 the month before. Furthermore, the index evaluating consumer intentions to spend on durable goods over the next twelve months increased to 100.1, up from 96.2 in September.
This consumer confidence survey was a joint effort between the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.
