Lithuania's economy demonstrated continued growth for the third consecutive quarter, achieving faster expansion in the period ending September, according to preliminary data released by Statistics Lithuania on Wednesday.
The gross domestic product (GDP) saw a seasonally and working-day-adjusted increase of 1.1% in the second quarter, marking an improvement from the 0.3% rise recorded in the previous quarter.
The sectors contributing most significantly to this GDP growth were manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, as well as information and communication activities, as reported by the agency.
On an annual basis, the GDP experienced an adjusted growth of 2.3% in the third quarter, compared to 1.4% in the second quarter. The unadjusted growth rate also increased to 2.3%, up from 1.7%.
