**Polaris ROVs**
Polaris Industries, based in Medina, Minnesota, is recalling approximately 1,400 units of their 2023-2024 Ranger XP Kinetic Recreational Off-Road Vehicles (ROVs), along with 70 units sold in Canada. The recall is due to potential fire and crash hazards caused by loose high-voltage cables on the motor controller unit. This defect may lead to unintended acceleration, overheating, and, ultimately, fire. No injuries have been reported despite one confirmed incident of acceleration and six reports of melting. Customers should cease use immediately and contact an authorized Polaris dealer for a free motor controller unit inspection.
**Floating Wall Theaters**
Manhattan Comfort Inc. from Dayton, New Jersey, is recalling around 46,750 units of their Floating Wall Theater Entertainment Centers and Panels. These products, manufactured in Brazil and sold online between March 2015 and March 2024, may detach from walls if installed without toggle bolts, posing a risk of injury. There have been 51 reports of panel detachments, resulting in three minor injuries. Consumers are advised to contact the company for a complimentary repair.
**Charge Case Accessory**
Humane Inc., located in San Francisco, California, is recalling about 10,500 units of their Charge Case Accessory for the Ai Pin due to a risk of lithium battery fires. The product, an AI-powered wearable device, was sold from November 2023 to May 2024 and includes a lithium polymer rechargeable battery. Despite a report of overheating and melting, no injuries have been reported. Humane offers a full refund or replacement for the affected products.
**Backpack Sprayers**
Harbor Freight Tools, based in Calabasas, California, has issued a recall for about 53,000 Bauer 20V Battery-Powered 4-Gallon Backpack Sprayers. These sprayers, sold from March 2022 to September 2024, pose a fire hazard due to potential battery issues. Consumers should discontinue use and reach out to Harbor Freight Tools for more information on remedies.The agency has identified a safety concern with the backpack sprayer pump where chemicals may leak into the battery compartment, potentially causing the battery to overheat and present a fire risk. Harbor Freight Tools has been notified of eight cases of battery overheating, including instances of smoking, melting, and fire. However, there have been no reports of injuries to date. Consumers are advised to cease use of the affected sprayers immediately and reach out to Harbor Freight Tools to receive a full refund provided in the form of a gift card.
**Tumblers with Metal Straws**
HALO, based in Sterling, Illinois, has issued a recall for approximately 60,000 units of Tumblers with Metal Straws due to a laceration risk. These plastic tumblers are available in four designs: "The Mermaid" featuring a pink/green color scheme, "Island Surf" in blue/yellow, "Sailor Breeze" in tan/orange, and "The Galaxy" in blue/pink. Each tumbler is accompanied by a tan lid and bears the Wawa logo. These products, produced in China, were sold exclusively at Wawa stores located in Alabama, Washington D.C., Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland, priced around $13 during the month of August 2024. The metal straw included poses a risk of cutting the mouth or fingers, leading to lacerations. There have been four reported incidents resulting in injuries to the hand and mouth. Consumers should stop using the metal straw immediately and contact HALO to receive a free silicone straw replacement after returning the metal straw, or opt for a refund in the form of a $15 gift card.
**Vevor Baby Gates**
Sanven Technology, situated in Rancho Cucamonga, California, has announced a recall of approximately 420 units of Vevor Baby Gates due to an entrapment risk. These products were manufactured in China and sold online through platforms such as eBay, AliExpress, and Overstock from February 2024 to May 2024, retailing for about $45. The gates do not comply with federal safety regulations governing expansion gates and expandable enclosures. Despite this, no injuries or incidents have been reported in relation to the recalled products. Consumers are urged to discontinue use of the gates and contact the company for a full refund.
