Australia Has A$4.609 Billion Trade Surplus

Australia reported a merchandise trade surplus of A$4.609 billion for September, according to data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Friday. This figure fell short of the anticipated surplus of A$5.240 billion and marked a decline from the A$5.284 billion surplus recorded in August.

Exports saw a monthly decrease of 4.3%, amounting to A$40.827 billion, following a slight reduction of 0.2% in the previous month. Meanwhile, imports decreased by 3.1% month-on-month, coming to A$36.219 billion, after a 0.2% decline in the month before.
