BayWa AG (BYWG) announced that its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for the first nine months ended in a deficit of 77.6 million euros, contrasting with a positive 214.6 million euros in the same period last year. This downturn was largely impacted by impairment losses. The company reported revenues of 16.0 billion euros, down from 18.2 billion euros in the previous year.
When factoring in impairment losses as per IAS 36 standards, the group's EBIT by the close of the third quarter stood at a negative 299.8 million euros.
