Denmark's consumer confidence remained in the negative territory for November, as reported by Statistics Denmark on Thursday.
The consumer confidence index saw a decline, slipping to -9.3 in November from October's -8.9. This fall reflects a bleaker perception of both Denmark's current and prospective economic climates. However, there was a positive shift in consumer expectations regarding their family’s financial prospects and their willingness to make purchases.
Specifically, consumer sentiment about their personal financial situation over the coming year improved, moving to 0 from October's -1.0. Conversely, perceptions of past financial circumstances deteriorated, with the index declining to -10.1 from -8.9.
The outlook for the country's general economic conditions over the next year also worsened, with the corresponding index dropping to -10.9 in November from -8.9 the previous month.
Households anticipate a quicker rise in prices over the forthcoming year and expect an upward trend in unemployment, the survey noted.
