In October, Finland's unemployment rate remained unchanged following an increase the previous month, according to data released by Statistics Finland on Tuesday. The unemployment rate for individuals aged 15 to 74 was 8.1 percent in October, mirroring the figure recorded in September. Comparatively, October of last year saw a lower unemployment rate of 6.8 percent. The total number of unemployed individuals reached 228,000 in October, a slight increase from 227,000 in the preceding month. Among the youth aged 15 to 24, the unemployment rate edged up marginally to 16.2 percent, compared to 16.1 percent in September. The statistics also revealed a rise in the employment rate, which climbed to 62.2 percent in October from 61.9 percent in the prior month.
