Royal Philips (PHG) has declared an enhancement in its strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), under the umbrella of Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), to provide a cloud-enabled, integrated diagnostics portfolio.
Philips' cloud-based diagnostic suite, which encompasses radiology, digital pathology, cardiology, and AI-enhanced visualization tools, is designed to streamline diagnostic processes, enhance access to vital information, and yield improved patient outcomes.
The leading Dutch healthcare company reported that it has successfully migrated over 150 sites across North America and Latin America to its Philips HealthSuite Imaging platform on AWS. Looking ahead, Philips plans to expedite the transition of health systems to the cloud, with intentions to expand these cloud migrations to customers in Europe.
Matt Garman, CEO of AWS, emphasized that the Philips-AWS collaboration offers healthcare providers scalable, security-centric cloud solutions, thereby fostering accelerated innovation in the healthcare sector.
By integrating Philips' healthcare informatics with AWS's generative AI capabilities, clinicians now have access to imaging insights, enabling them to provide more effective and efficient patient care globally, anytime, with top-tier security and privacy measures.
