A report from payroll processor ADP, published on Wednesday, indicates that employment in the U.S. private sector experienced a modest increase in November, falling slightly short of expectations. According to ADP, private sector jobs grew by 146,000 in November, following a revised increase of 184,000 in October. This revision was a downturn from the originally reported surge of 233,000 in the previous month. Economists had anticipated a rise of 165,000 jobs. ADP's chief economist, Nela Richardson, noted, "Despite healthy overall growth for the month, industry performances varied. Manufacturing recorded its weakest performance since spring, and the financial services and leisure and hospitality sectors also showed softness."
