EVgo, Inc. (EVGO), a prominent provider of DC fast charging networks for electric vehicles, in collaboration with General Motors (GM), an esteemed automobile manufacturer, recently celebrated a significant milestone in their joint initiative.
Together, these companies have successfully installed over 2,000 public fast charging stations across more than 390 locations as part of their metropolitan charging collaboration. Each location features fast chargers with a capacity of 350kW, collectively able to accommodate up to 10 vehicles simultaneously.
Having achieved the milestone of 1,000 stalls by August of the previous year, the partnership has impressively doubled its electric vehicle charging infrastructure within a little over a year.
This effort has been bolstered by funding from the California Energy Commission's FAST program.
The ongoing mission to complete a total of 2,850 DC fast charging stalls across the nation is aimed at expanding the availability of public charging options. Of these, 400 stalls are designated for installation at key metropolitan market destinations.
