South Korea is set to unveil its third-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) figures on Thursday, marking a relatively quiet day for economic activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Expectations place GDP growth at 0.5% quarter-over-quarter and 1.5% year-over-year, following an increase of 0.1% quarterly and 1.5% annually during the previous quarter.
Australia is scheduled to announce its import, export, and trade balance statistics for October. In the month of September, imports declined by 3.1%, while exports dropped by 4.3%, culminating in a trade surplus of AUD 4.609 billion.
Additionally, Singapore will report its retail sales data for October, with September having recorded a 0.4% increase compared to the previous month, and a 2.0% rise year-over-year.
Taiwan is expected to publish its consumer price index for November. As of October, consumer inflation had increased by 0.25% month-on-month and 1.69% year-over-year.
