Latvia Inflation Rises To 2.2%, Highest In 14 Months

In November, Latvia experienced an acceleration in consumer price inflation, reaching its highest point in over a year, according to preliminary figures released by the national statistical office on Monday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a year-on-year rise of 2.2% in November, following a 2.0% increase recorded in October.

This marks the most significant inflation rate observed since September 2023, during which prices had climbed by 3.3%.

Analysis reveals that food prices saw an annual hike of 4.3% in November, and the costs associated with recreation and culture increased by 5.9%. In contrast, transport costs experienced a decline of 3.6%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices maintained a steady growth rate of 0.2% in November.
