President-elect Donald Trump, together with SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son, has announced that the company will invest $100 billion in the United States over the coming four years. This substantial investment is expected to generate more than 100,000 new American jobs within the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other essential infrastructure sectors.
SoftBank, which maintains offices throughout the United States, functions as an investment holding company with stakes in leading global providers of AI, smart robotics, and telecommunications technology.
In 2016, the company committed to investing $50 billion in the U.S. Since then, it has surpassed that initial pledge by investing over $70 billion in more than 300 technology firms based in the United States.
