Novo Holdings A/S finalized the acquisition of Catalent, Inc. (CTLT), a leading contract development and manufacturing organization, on Wednesday. This all-cash deal values the enterprise at $16.5 billion.
As part of the transaction, Catalent shareholders will be compensated at $63.50 per share in cash, reflecting a 16.5% premium over the closing price of Catalent's common stock as of February 2, 2024.
With the merger now complete, Catalent will transition to operating as a privately-held entity.
