South Korea Inflation Rises 2.3% In 2024

According to Statistics Korea, consumer prices in South Korea experienced a 2.3 percent increase in 2024 compared to the previous year, showing a slight moderation from the 2.5 percent rise recorded in the previous year.

In December, inflation saw a monthly increase of 0.4 percent, surpassing the anticipated rise of 0.2 percent. This follows a decline of 0.3 percent in November.

On an annual basis, consumer prices grew by 1.9 percent, exceeding projected estimates of 1.7 percent and marking an increase from the 1.5 percent reported the previous month.
