Sensex, Nifty Open Higher On Firm Global Cues

On Tuesday, Indian equities commenced trading positively, echoing favorable trends from global markets. The key S&P BSE Sensex index increased by 267 points, or 0.4%, reaching 78,233 in early trading. This followed significant selling pressures encountered in the previous session due to concerns regarding the HMP Virus outbreak.

The broader NSE Nifty index advanced by 123 points, translating to a rise of 0.5%, positioning it at 23,739. Among the notable movers, Nuvoco Vistas saw an uptick of 1.5% after successfully bidding to acquire Vadraj Cement as part of an insolvency resolution process.

Adani Enterprises made a substantial gain of 2% following its strategic partnership with Thailand's Indorama Resources, marking its entry into the petrochemical sector.

Arkade Developers experienced a 3% increase on the announcement of anticipated revenues amounting to Rs. 2,150 crore from the redevelopment of three residential projects in Mumbai.

Conversely, Info Edge shares declined by 2% after reporting standalone revenues of Rs 668.3 crore for the December quarter.

Meanwhile, NESCO surged by 3.6% after securing a contract for a Rs 225 crore project related to amenities on the Bengaluru-Chennai highway.

Lastly, Ashoka Buildcon rose by 4% subsequent to securing a new order win.
