China Inflation Unchanged In December

In its latest report released on Thursday, the National Bureau of Statistics announced that consumer prices in China remained stable in December, showing no change from the previous month. This performance surpassed expectations, which had predicted a decline of 0.2 percent after the 0.6 percent decrease recorded in November.

When observed on an annual basis, consumer prices saw an increase of 0.1 percent. This result aligned with projections and represented a slight decline from the 0.2 percent rise noted in the month prior.

Additionally, the NBS reported that producer prices suffered an annual decrease of 2.3 percent. This figure was slightly better than anticipated, as analysts had forecast a decline of 2.4 percent, following a 2.5 percent decrease in the previous month.
