Slovenia Industrial Production Falls In November

Industrial production in Slovenia experienced a downturn in November, primarily attributed to reduced activity within the utilities sector, according to preliminary figures released by the statistical office on Friday.

In November, there was a 0.8% decline in industrial production compared to the same month last year, influenced significantly by a pronounced 17.2% decrease in the output from the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector.

Conversely, the manufacturing sector witnessed a modest growth of 1.0%, while the mining and quarrying industries reported a substantial increase of 26.1%.

Month-on-month, industrial production decreased by 1.4% from October, predominantly due to a 1.5% decline in manufacturing output.

The industrial turnover remained unchanged on an annual basis in November, yet it experienced a slight decrease of 0.5% compared to the preceding month.

In terms of inventory levels, stocks were 8.6% higher year-over-year and saw a modest rise of 0.4% from the prior month.
