Bank of Georgia Group Plc (BGEO.L) recently disclosed that its Armenian banking subsidiary, Ameriabank CJSC, has entered into a US$200 million loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group.
According to the bank, 50% of this loan is intended for climate finance initiatives. Of the remaining amount, 25% will be directed towards micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a particular focus on those led by women entrepreneurs.
