BAE Systems, a global leader in defense, aerospace, and security solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has secured an $85 million production contract from the U.S. Navy for 2024. This contract involves the delivery of additional Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL) systems.
The NTCDL systems facilitate the real-time exchange of voice, data, imagery, and full-motion video across a range of sources, including air, surface, subsurface, and portable devices. Currently, these systems are being installed on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and will be integrated into the newly built Constellation-class frigates.
The new contract represents an amendment to an existing agreement with BAE Systems, effectively extending the program's overall duration by three years.
As of now, BAE Systems is trading at 1,186.10 GBP on the London Stock Exchange, reflecting an increase of 0.39 percent or 4 GBP.
