Vertical Aerospace Ltd. (EVTL) announced on Wednesday the immediate appointment of Dómhnal Slattery as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors. The previous Chairman, Stephen Welch, will remain on the Vertical Board as a non-executive director.
Slattery brings over 30 years of global aviation industry expertise and is returning to the Board, having previously served as Chairman from January 2022 to August 2023. During his prior tenure, Vertical successfully expanded its order book and achieved a listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
With a notable career, Slattery is the founder of Avolon and SMBC Aviation, key players in the aircraft leasing segment. The enterprises he has established and grown have collectively raised and utilized over $75 billion in capital.
In addition to his role at Vertical, Slattery is the CEO and Chairman of Clahane Capital.
