The company, established in 2001 by Dr. Shawn Qu in Guelph, has expanded from a visionary startup into an industry behemoth, now boasting around 20,000 employees and operations spanning more than 20 countries.
The new Kitchener headquarters signifies Canadian Solar's dedication to innovation, sustainability, and its Canadian roots. This facility will not only act as the central corporate hub but also accommodate vital subsidiaries, including e-STORAGE, and divisions focused on module sales and services.
On the Nasdaq, CSIQ shares are currently trading at $11.60, marking an increase of 0.69% or $0.08.
