SSP Group plc (SSPG.L), a prominent operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations, announced on Thursday the appointment of Geert Verellen as the new Chief Financial Officer, following Jonathan Davies' retirement.
Verellen is set to join SSP Group in early April 2025 as CFO Designate. He will officially take on the role of CFO and be appointed to the Board starting June 9.
Jonathan Davies, who currently serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer alongside his CFO duties, will remain on the Board until September 30 and continue as Deputy CEO until December.
Geert Verellen most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. from 2020 to 2024. Before that, he was the Regional CFO at Walmart Inc., where he managed financial operations across Canada, Japan, and India.
On the London Stock Exchange, SSP Group shares were observed trading at 172.80 pence, reflecting a decline of 0.58%.
