Tesla's 2025 Model Y Debuts In North America, Europe

Tesla Inc. (TSLA), the renowned electric vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled the 2025 edition of its highly popular Model Y crossover, making it available in the United States, Canada, and Europe. This launch follows the vehicle's initial release in China and precedes the anticipated introduction of a more affordable model in early 2025.

Tesla shared a preview of the revamped Model Y on social media platform X on Thursday. The "launch series" of the updated sport utility vehicle is priced at $59,990 in the U.S., reflecting a 25% increase from its predecessor's $47,990 price tag. Deliveries are slated to commence in March.

Enhancements in the new version include the integration of Tesla's supervised full self-driving software, previously a $8,000 optional upgrade for earlier Model Y versions. Additionally, this iteration features a reimagined front and rear light design, a chic new fascia, and an upgraded interior boasting ventilated and reclining second-row seats, alongside accelerated Wi-Fi capabilities.

Tesla states that the new Model Y offers a slight increase in range, now reaching up to 320 miles. Originally released in 2020, the Model Y secured its position as the world's top-selling car in 2023. However, it has faced intensified competition, particularly from rivals in China and Europe, contributing to the first annual decline in Tesla's deliveries last year.
