KBR Inc. announced on Monday that it has secured a new time and material (T&M), cost-reimbursable task order from the U.S. Department of State, aiming to deliver medical support services in Iraq.
Designated as the Medical Support Services Iraq (MedSSI) task order, this agreement has a financial cap of $187 million and is part of the Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) contract. This arrangement is set for a five-year term, extending until 2029.
According to the agreement, KBR will offer medical services to more than 4,000 personnel associated with the U.S. Mission in Iraq. The company will operate a diplomatic support hospital along with four clinics catering to the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.
KBR's responsibilities include providing on-site primary, urgent, and emergency care. The medical team—comprising certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and support staff—will deliver both general and specialized medical care, such as surgery, orthopedics, and neurology.
