Verizon Secures $66 Mln Enterprise Infra Solutions Contract From U.S. Coast Guard

Verizon Communications, Inc. (VZ), a leading telecommunications provider, announced on Wednesday that it has secured an 8-year Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions task order from the U.S. Coast Guard, valued at up to $66 million throughout the duration of the contract.

The initial task order spans 12 months, with potential extensions permitting a maximum term of eight years. Verizon will deliver an array of services that includes Internet protocol services, broadband internet, IP voice service, toll-free service, managed network and security services, contact center services, as well as the requisite equipment necessary for these operations.

As part of this agreement, Verizon will supply the U.S. Coast Guard's C5I office with essential Wi-Fi, phone, data, and other telecommunications services. Collaboratively, Verizon and the Coast Guard aim to upgrade outdated TDM services with new, advanced solutions, such as implementing cellular-based alternatives for critical voice communication.

Additionally, the initiative includes providing Contact Center as a Service, equipped with secure, software-based solutions for the Coast Guard's call centers, all while maintaining Impact Level-4 security standards.

In pre-market trading on the New York Stock Exchange, Verizon's stock is trading higher, up 0.64% at $40.66.
