In the third quarter, Wizz Air (WIZZ.L) reported a net loss of 241.1 million euros, widening from a loss of 105.4 million euros in the same quarter the previous year. Revenues for the quarter rose by 10.5% year-on-year, reaching 1.18 billion euros. Passenger ticket revenue grew by 13.0% to total 626.2 million euros, while ancillary income saw a 7.8% increase to 550.7 million euros compared to the previous year.
During this period, the airline transported 15.5 million passengers, marking a 2.6% rise from the same timeframe the previous year. The load factor, indicating the proportion of seats filled, improved by 3.1% to reach 90.3%.
Looking forward to 2025, Wizz Air anticipates a net profit after tax (NPAT) to be in the range of 125 to 175 million euros, assuming current foreign exchange rates remain stable.
