Baker Hughes Bags Multi-year Contract From ExxonMobil Guyana

Baker Hughes Company (BKR), a leader in energy technology, announced on Monday that it has secured a contract with ExxonMobil Guyana Limited. This agreement involves supplying specialty chemicals and associated services for the Uaru and Whiptail offshore developments situated in Guyana's resource-rich Stabroek Block. This multi-year contract encompasses all necessary chemicals for topsides, subsea operations, water injection, and utilities linked to the Errea Wittu and Jaguar floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels. Currently under development, these FPSOs are projected to commence production in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

The Uaru and Whiptail projects represent the fifth and sixth initiatives by ExxonMobil Guyana in the region. These developments are set to include up to 20 drill centers and 92 production and injection wells. Each FPSO is expected to have a production capacity of 250,000 barrels per day, which will increase the nation's total daily production capacity to approximately 1.3 million barrels.
