Alpha Modus Sues Walgreens For Patent Infringement

Alpha Modus Holdings, Inc. (AMOD) announced on Tuesday that it has initiated a patent infringement lawsuit against Walgreens Co. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The lawsuit alleges that Walgreens has deliberately infringed upon Alpha Modus's patented artificial intelligence-driven retail technology. This technology aims to enhance the in-store shopping experience through the use of data-driven insights, interactive advertising, and consumer engagement tools.

Alpha Modus claims that Walgreens's implementation of Cooler Screens digital smart screens in their stores replicates the innovations secured under Alpha Modus's patents.

"We have reason to believe that numerous brands, retailers, and technology providers are currently utilizing our technology. Our research indicates that, consequently, the damages owed to Alpha Modus greatly exceed an estimated $500 million and could potentially reach into the billions over the lifetime of our patents. This lawsuit is an essential action to protect our intellectual property and maintain fair competition," stated Alpha Modus CEO William Alessi.
