Honeywell (HON) has officially announced the culmination of its extensive business portfolio evaluation, initiated a year prior by Chairman and CEO Vimal Kapur. The company has decided to fully separate its Automation and Aerospace Technologies divisions. Along with the previously declared strategy to spin off its Advanced Materials segment, this move will result in the establishment of three independently listed entities. The targeted completion for this separation is set for the latter half of 2026.
Honeywell further stated that it is on track to surpass its goal of allocating over $25 billion towards initiatives such as high-return capital expenditures, dividend distributions, selective share repurchases, and value-enhancing acquisitions by the end of 2025. Even as the company progresses with its separation plans, it remains committed to continuing its efforts in reshaping its business portfolio.
