In February 2025, Slovenia experienced a 0.5% increase in producer prices compared to the same month the previous year. This recovery follows a 0.8% decline in January and marks the first uptick in producer prices since November 2023. The rebound was observed in sectors such as mining and quarrying, which saw costs rise by 2.4% compared to a 0.3% decline in January, and manufacturing, which grew by 0.7% following a previous 0.6% decrease. Meanwhile, producer inflation significantly increased for water supply, reaching 5.8% from 3.8%, while the rate of decline slowed for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, tapering off at -4.8% from -7.1%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices rose by 0.4% in February, rebounding from a 0.5% decrease in the prior period.
