In February 2025, Sweden's annual producer inflation slightly decreased to 3.4%, down from January's nearly two-year high of 3.5%. There was a deceleration in prices for consumer goods, dropping to 3.2% from 5.5%, and for capital goods, which fell to 1.6% from 3.7%. Conversely, energy-related products experienced a significant rebound, rising to 8.4% from a previous contraction of 2.8%. When excluding energy-related products, producer prices saw a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, which is softer compared to the 4.5% rise observed in January. On a month-to-month basis, the Producer Price Index (PPI) declined by 0.1%, a reversal from January’s 1.7% increase, marking the first decline since September 2024.
