According to preliminary estimates, Palestine's current account deficit decreased significantly to $480 million in the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to $1,105 million during the same period the previous year. This positive shift is attributed to a substantial increase in the income surplus, which climbed to $289 million from $83 million in the fourth quarter of 2023. Additionally, the current transfer surplus experienced a 14% increase, rising to $516 million from $316 million. Meanwhile, the goods deficit reduced to $1,075 million from $1,306 million. However, the services deficit saw a slight expansion, widening to $210 million from $198 million.
