Lithuania’s Retail Sales Pick Up in February

In February 2025, Lithuania experienced a 2.9% increase in retail sales compared to the same period the previous year. This follows an upward revision of a 2.3% increase in January. The growth was primarily propelled by enhanced sales in food, beverages, and tobacco, which increased by 3.0% compared to 2.3% in January. However, the growth in sales of non-food products decelerated to 9.3% from 12.8%, and sales in non-specialized stores decreased to 31.6% from 38.4%. Sales of automotive fuel continued their decline, though at a reduced rate of -9.8% compared to -16.6% previously. On a month-to-month basis, retail sales saw a 1.7% rise, recovering from a 4.7% decline in the previous month.
