Uruguay Trade Deficit Shrinks in February

In February 2025, Uruguay reported a trade deficit of $111.72 million, an improvement from the $140.08 million deficit reported in the same period the previous year. On the import side, there was a 14.3% rise, totaling $860.08 million, with growth driven by a 4.5% rise in intermediate goods, a substantial 23.7% increase in consumer goods, and a 26.5% climb in capital goods.
