US 30-Year Mortgage Rate Eases for 3rd Consecutive Week

The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage supported by Freddie Mac decreased to 6.64% on April 3rd, marking the third week in a row of decline. Sam Khater, the Chief Economist at Freddie Mac, commented, "Over the past month, the 30-year fixed-rate has stabilized, experiencing only minor fluctuations. This consistency offers reassurance, and as a result, borrowers have increased their purchase application demand, achieving the highest growth rate since the latter part of last year."
